Local employers can work with SD35 Career Ed to offer work or volunteer positions with our WAVE and Youth WORK in Trades programs:
Work And Volunteer Experience (WAVE)
A career exploration course to help students with the transition from school to work. Students spend 80-170 hours working/volunteering with a local employer.
This program allows students who are employed in one of ~100 trades regulated by SkilledTradesBC to begin an apprenticeship in high school. Students earn credits while accumulating Work-Based Training hours toward certification in their trade.
